Here are 2 Variables that are missing from most dental marketing strategies (or lack thereof). And hearing from frustrated Dentists, who have tried marketing in one form or another, or have been consulted by companies, the problem lies in one of the following 2 things:
1) Most dental ads, direct mail and marketing strategies target a very specific part of the population: those that are either in pain, or don’t have a dentist (or more accurately, they are just thrown at random).
That’s a very small fraction of the market. Sometimes people are looking for a dentist but not right now.
Maybe they have a falling out with their current one
Maybe the one that they have now doesn’t provide what they want.
Maybe the timing isn’t right.
Either way, only about 1-10% of the people that are actually interested in dental work would respond immediately
That leaves people that are interested, but they just need a little more nudging. Or they just need a little more time. Maybe they need to have their desires and motivations built up to come in to your office.
That is an extra 10-40% right there.
Prospective new patients need to be put into a pipeline. They were interested enough to look at your ad, so guide them through the process.
2) Type of ad or marketing doesn’t pose much of a solution to a would be patient.
They see your bio, some technical jargon and some other tid bits. But does it really tackle some of the fundamental issues they are having?
And are you actually presenting an offer to them with a call to action? They need to be guided EVERY step of the way from the time they see your ad to book to coming in to upsold to higher fee service
And what about the objections? what about the reasons that even though they want what you have to offer, they just don’t budge.

A Few Ideas On What Dental Veneers Cost
Q I love those reality shows on TV where people get a complete make-over and a dazzling new smile, but I’d really like to know what those amazing dental veneers cost.
A: People are rushing to their friendly neighborhood cosmetic dentist anxious to get veneers just like they see on television. The contestants on TV pay nothing for them, but you would pay anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000 depending on whether you live in a smaller area or a major market. Let’s average dental veneers cost out to $4,500 but be prepared for higher prices.
Q: I thought I saw a website offering dental veneers for as little as $500. That sounds a bit low, isn’t it?
A: Yes, that does sound a bit low which should sound some warning bells for you about cosmetic dentistry. As a profession, cosmetic dentistry is not legally recognized. Most dentists that do this type of work are qualified but there’s the odd one that may not have complete credentials. Don’t fool around with your teeth. Be prepared to shell out a good chunk of change to ensure the best possible quality.
Q: I want veneers in the worst way and I’m hoping my dental plan will cover the bill. Will they?
A: Unfortunately, most dental insurance companies will not cover cosmetic procedures, such as teeth whitening and veneers. There are reports of people who have made a successful claim when their veneers have broken because of a weakness in their design and have had their insurance cover at least part of the replacement cost.
Q: How long will I be in the chair to have veneers applied?
A: You can expect to be in the chair for at least two if not three appointments. Your first visit is for preparation, where the enamel of your teeth is slightly shaved and made rough. An impression is then taken so the lab technicians can design your new veneers. On the second visit, the cosmetic dentist will fit your new veneers to check their alignment and size, making any corrections necessary. If everything fits, they’ll be bonded or glued to your teeth. Sometimes a third appointment will take place for the bonding process.
Q: What special care to veneers require? I would imagine that jawbreakers are out?
A: Keep those sparkling new teeth white with regular brushing and a whitening-type toothpaste and of course, floss twice a day. De

ntal or porcelain veneers will break if you’re hit in the face or if they come into contact with sharp objects. Wear a mouth guard while playing sports and don’t put nails or pins in your mouth while working around the house.
Q: What’s the best way to find a good cosmetic dentist who won’t charge me a lot of money?
A: The best way is to ask around. Word of mouth is always the best way to get a referral – finding someone with veneers may be the hardest part. Models or actors need a beautiful smile, so perhaps call an agency and make a few inquiries. Check out companies that produce reality TV shows – maybe you’ll be the next contestant on a make over show !

If you are considering veneers be prepared to pay for them. The veneers cost is a significant one since it will more than likely be out of pocket for you. Trying to save on the dental veneers cost may lead to disappointment, as you may get a good deal, but not a good veneer job.
